Cold Air to Bring Temperatures Down in Northern China
Adjust font size:  ZoomIn ZoomOut

Strong cold air moving southward from Siberia will bring lower temperatures, strong winds and even snow to most parts of northern China over the next two to three days, China's Central Meteorological Station forecast on Sunday.

The cold front is expected to bring temperatures down by four to eight degrees Celsius in most areas of north China, western part of northeastern China as well as Ningxia Autonomous Region and the northern part of Shaanxi Province.

In the eastern part of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the temperature will drop by 10 to 13 degrees.

Meanwhile, snow is expected in parts of Inner Mongolia and northeast China.

Strong winds at force five to seven will sweep northeast China and most parts of north China including sea areas, said the station.

The station reminded the public of taking necessary precautions against the forthcoming strong wind and temperature slump.
