I think there will be many highlights. Much innovation will be displayed in the military parade, public pageant, gathering, exhibition and evening gala. There will be many highlights, and we can look forward to them together. When referring to features, the following three aspects are prominent:

First, there will be a wide range of colorful activities including the grand celebration assembly, the military parade, the public pageant, the National Day reception, the award ceremony, the evening gala, the exhibition and the fireworks show. In addition, all regions and departments will organize a series of ceremonial activities varying in forms.

The second characteristic is the great public participation. The 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China is an event celebrated by people of all nationalities in the country. Therefore, various activities will showcase the public's participation. For instance, over 100,000 people from all walks of life will take part in the public pageant on the morning of Oct. 1, and over 60,000 people from different fields in Beijing will participate in the gathering on the evening of Oct. 1. In addition, invitations have been extended to over 30,000 ordinary people including representatives from ordinary families in Beijing, migrant workers and other ordinary workers to attend the ceremonial celebration and military parade. In addition to the special performances, seven evening gala performances in the Great Hall of the People will be held from Sept. 16 to 26 to allow more people to appreciate the cultural programs on the spot. We will also launch an extensive public patriotic campaign themed "My Motherland and I" in various regions. We will stress public participation of these ceremonial activities through the hoisting of our national flag, singing of our national anthem, memorializing martyrs, participating in choral competitions, square dance contests, garden parties, and essay writing competitions. Through these events, more people can enjoy the festive and glorious atmosphere of the anniversary.

Third, memorializing martyrs and people making great contributions in building the new China will be emphasized. As I mentioned just now, the award ceremony of the National Medals and Titles of Honor will recognize people who have made significant contributions toward the founding and development of the country. This will be done through the presentation of flower baskets for memorializing martyrs and the awarding of medals to veterans, elderly comrades, heroes and model workers. At the same time, elderly comrades who have made significant contributions to their country will be invited along with their family members to the grand ceremonial assembly and military parade. We will also invite about 1,500 role models from different circles including outstanding members of Communist Party of China, civil servants people are satisfied with, models for our times, moral models, great craftsmen, and exemplary migrant workers. We will also award a group of strivers and moral models and launch campaigns to visit veterans, elderly members of the CPC, exemplary citizens, disabled soldiers, and the families of martyrs. I think we must not forget the people who have made great contributions and sacrificed for our country and people as we celebrate the 70th anniversary of People's Republic of China. Thank you.
