Beijing resumed its boat tour service on March 12 in Taoranting Park, Zizhuyuan Park, Yuyuantan Park, the Summer Palace and Beihai Park, ahead of the city's peak flower-viewing season. More than 1,700 boats of various types are available for tours.
Beihai Park offers over 400 boats across more than 10 different types, allowing tourists to select vessels suited to their group size and preferences.
Yuyuantan Park features 50 hectares of navigable waters with four boat docks along East and West Lake banks. The park offers a variety of boats, including battery-powered and pedal boats for four to six people and child-friendly cartoon-themed vessels shaped like flamingos and dolphins. The park offers 571 boats in total, all equipped with a 5G smart management system. This system allows for online queuing, self-service operations, digital payments and precise positioning to enhance convenience and safety.
Prior to the launch, municipal park authorities have conducted comprehensive inspections and maintenance on all boats to ensure all core components, including hulls, engines and batteries, are in optimal condition.
To ensure visitor safety, park boats will be suspended during strong winds of level 4 or above, based on real-time weather updates.
