LIMA, April 20 (Xinhua) -- Jeanette Hegg Duestad and Jon-Hermann Hegg of Norway captured gold in the 10m air rifle mixed team event at the ISSF World Cup here on Sunday, defeating India's Arya Borse and Rudrankksh Patil 17-11 in the final.
The two teams were tied at 8-8 before the Norwegians pulled ahead with a decisive four-point run. It was a strong finish for Duestad and Hegg, who had also led the qualification round.
In the bronze medal match, China's Wang Zifei and Song Buhan overcame teammates Du Yuchen and Fang Shengjian 16-4 in an all-Chinese contest. This is the second medal in Lima for Wang, who won the women's 10m air rifle title with a new world record on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Italy's Silvana Stanco won the women's trap final, while America's William Hinton took the men's title with a commanding score of 47, earning his first individual World Cup gold.
Following Sunday's results, the United States returned atop the medal standings with four gold, two silver and one bronze medal. China led in overall count with 11 medals, including three golds. India held third place with six medals, while Norway's victory lifted them to fifth with one gold and three total medals.
The World Cup in Lima will conclude on Monday after women's 25m pistol and trap mixed team competitions. Enditem
