Guo Shuqing was elected governor of Shandong Province on?June 5?during the second session of the 12th Shandong Provincial People's Congress, the local legislative body.
Guo, 57, served as chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission for one and a half years before being appointed vice secretary of the Shandong provincial committee of the Communist Party of China in mid-March.
He?was appointed acting governor of Shandong Province on March 29 at the first meeting of the Standing Committee of the 12th Shandong Provincial People's Congress.
