The Sanxingdui Museum, which has been closed since the May 12 earthquake, will reopen to the public this week, China News Service reports Monday.

Zhang Yaohui, the vice president of the Sanxingdui Museum says most of the historical relics housed in this museum have come through the devastating earthquake unscathed, except for two pottery replicas.

Zhang Yaohui is also the head of the cultural relic's bureau in Guanghan, southwest China's Sichuan Province. He adds that many historical sites under state or regional protection in Guanghan were damaged by the earthquake.
