America is pursuing a soft and subtile hegemonic strategy, whereever it has deeper interests, moreover its military-industrial complex is indirectly pushing confrontation to make more money.

Chinese leadership is often forced to act - at least to seem - tough because of the countries inner problems (widening social gaps, environment, ideology), what could give its foreign-policy an aggressive momentum.

But the outcome of a long-run strategic confrontation could only be a waste of money, time and welfare for both sides.

The hawk-parties on both sides didn`t seem to have success and may have lost some of their influence while the peaceful handled the conflict wise enough under the given circumstances.

From a neutral viewpoint I think, there is no clear responsibility of one side for the accident. The one spies, the other is trying to prevent spying, causing an accident, which forces the first to land in the seconds area without permission.

Of course one should be sorry for the dead pilot, the whole accident and send the crew home. This is what reasonably happened.

I hope with this solution, there will be no further implications on this subject and that this common detainment gave both sides more experience in communicating with each other.

I hope, that the death and suffering of the people concerned will thereby lead to a more constructive relationship in the future!

Each country should be respectful of how things work in the country. neither country should take a hardline that would involve losing face when there was a compromise. because of our global world, situations lke this will arise and there must be ways to resolve issues. china is going to be an increasingly powerful force in the world and we would be stupid to put ourselves in an adverserial position with china.

Thank god that the standoff has been resolved. It is time to analyze this whole issue calmly. Firstly, we do wonder what took the US government so long to say those few words, it would have been resolved right after it had happened if said then. Here is a question for the 24 crew mumbers: does the government or Mr. President really care about the interests of your guys as much as it was said? I am also very impressed about Beijing government as they kept their promise and released the crew members right after an offical apology was delivered. In this sense the Chinese government acted more mature rather than being childish.

Unfriendly statements were seen quite frenquently, but please note that the Chinese media is still controlled by the government, just imagine with the freedom of speech, what had happened in the US, people still get misled for instances? But with the application of IT technology, I am very impressed that so many Chinese had a chance to voice their opinion which I sitll consider as a very high degree of improvement. (People had used their human right of free speech this time.)

I was brought up in China, have worked and still working with Americans, I understand that the Chinese people are just like (in a Chinese saying) rabits, they would never bite unless affronted with life death issues. According to my personal experience, American people are very kind, added with a great amount of wisdom too. But due to the degree of openness in China, there is still very few Chinese people have encoutered any Americans in person. Most of the impression about Americans is gained through official media.

In such situation it is normal people get hot headed, Which Mr. Bush has demonstrated to us in full already.

Long live China, US, and the friendship in between!

Happy to see that all the 24 crewmen will back home soon. And hope that this 24 crewmen will tell the world the true story of the incident. We all Chinese, want to have love and peace, just like all other people in the world. We just want to have the same things exactly as every person want!

I also feel very sorry about this resolution between China-US plane clash. At least, American should say or write Apologize. And it seems that give up again in this issue. How about the next one? We Chinese should be a little hard in diplomatic policy. Only in this way, the people will have confidence in other things and also in the future.

I am an American. The reporting of the accident by fox cnn and msnbc is disapointing! They all seemed to know exacly what happened in the skys over the China Sea. How is this possible, when no one has talked to the pilot and crew about it? They showed computer animations of the us plane and chinas fighter jets encountering each other, and always leaving the impression that China was at fault. This is a good example of Rushing to Judgment. We Americans love to talk about truth and justice. The media doe's not always speak FOR us! It will be interesting to KNOW the the truth. I am very happy our people are coming home and wish the people of China well!
