Chongqing has become the first city in Southwest China authorized to issue visas to overseas travelers.
From now on, overseas visitors flying into the city can get visas directly from the local visa department of the public security bureau at the Jiangbei International Airport in the city.
They will no longer have to travel to other cities for a visa.
