The regional competition of 2006 Miss China Global Competition is held in Paris on Sunday evening by European Channel Phoenix Satellite Television and the European company of Tsingdao Beer.

There are 14 beautiful girls participating in the competition who will demonstrate their beauty and wisdom.

These competitors not only fully show their debut appearances and beautiful physiques, but also highlight their youth, vitality, kindness, consideration and intelligence, which perfectly combines external beauty with internal beauty, said Shao Wenguang, director of European Channel Phoenix Satellite Television.

Holding the Paris regional competition of 2006, Miss China Global Competition is to return from the support of all over France, especially overseas Chinese, and to strengthen the pride and cohesion of overseas Chinese by the power of the "Beautiful", said Ms. Jiang Xin, general manager of European company Tsingdao Beer.

There is a cheongsam display, swimming costume display, mini-skirt display, evening dress display and talent performance, through which the prizes of best figure, best temperament and manner, best eloquent expression, best talent performance and best locale performance are produced.

Ms. Xu Xiaoye won the championship, Lijia attained runner-up award and Xie Xiaoke third Place.

Qian Wei, Counselor of the Chinese embassy in France as well as wife of an ambassador, awards the prize for first-place. The first-place and the runner-up will participate in a final competition of 2006 Miss China Global Competition held in Frankfurt, Germany.

Miss China Global Competition starts from 2003, and it is the fourth consecutive year this year. It gradually expands to Asia, Europe, the Americas and Oceania continents and will become an arena for global Chinese women to display their talents.
