The Ideological Work of the CPC
Strengthening the ideological work helps the CPC realize its innovative potential, provides cohesion, and strengthens its ability to address ideological issues. Fundamental to Party building, ideological work is vital to preserving the CPC’s forward-looking vision and purity.
Strengthening the Party’s ideological work entails effective implementation within the Party of principles of Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, the Theory of Three Represents, the Scientific Outlook on Development, and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. It requires resolve to overcome any tendencies incompatible with Marxist thinking. Its essence is adherence to Marxist philosophy, so as to preserve the CPC’s forward-looking vision and its purity, and ensure a high level of consistency in all the party’s activities, including on the ideological or political front.
Efforts in this connection include educational outreach that helps members stay true to the Party’s ideals and convictions, keep firmly in mind its purpose, remain firm in their convictions as Communists, and have a better understanding of the world around them and the meaning of life, so that they are better prepared to pursue communist ideals and socialism with Chinese characteristics. They also need to foster a Marxist style of learning.
Since the 18th CPC National Congress, a series of educational outreach initiatives focused on putting theory into practice have been launched, including activities to see members command and act on the Party’s mass line, and a campaign for the observance of the Three Stricts and Three Earnests(Be strict in self-development, the exercise of power and self-discipline; be earnest in making plans, opening up new undertakings and upholding personal integrity).We have regularized and institutionalized the requirement for all Party members to have a solid understanding of the Party Constitution, Party regulations, and related major policy addresses and to meet Party standards.
The report to the 19th CPC National Congress underlined the continued importance of these studies and related discussions and the need for them to be embedded into the Party’s regular education programs to ensure that members will remain true to the Party’s original aspirations and keep its mission firmly in mind.
黨的思想建設(shè)
黨的思想建設(shè)是中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨為保持自己的創(chuàng)造力、凝聚力和戰(zhàn)斗力而在思想理論方面所進(jìn)行的一系列工作。思想建設(shè)是黨的基礎(chǔ)性建設(shè)，是黨永葆先進(jìn)性和純潔性的重要法寶。共產(chǎn)主義遠(yuǎn)大理想和中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義共同理想，是中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨人的精神支柱和政治靈魂，也是保持黨的團(tuán)結(jié)統(tǒng)一的思想基礎(chǔ)。作為黨的基礎(chǔ)性建設(shè)，思想建設(shè)的基本要求是：用馬克思列寧主義、毛澤東思想、鄧小平理論、“三個(gè)代表”重要思想、科學(xué)發(fā)展觀、習(xí)近平新時(shí)代中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義思想武裝全黨，不斷改造和克服黨內(nèi)一切非無(wú)產(chǎn)階級(jí)思想，以堅(jiān)持馬克思主義的思想領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，保證全黨在思想上政治上行動(dòng)上高度一致，保持黨的先進(jìn)性和純潔性。加強(qiáng)黨的思想建設(shè)，必須把堅(jiān)定理想信念作為首要任務(wù)，教育引導(dǎo)全黨牢記黨的宗旨，挺起共產(chǎn)黨人的精神脊梁，解決好世界觀、人生觀、價(jià)值觀這個(gè)“總開(kāi)關(guān)”問(wèn)題，自覺(jué)做共產(chǎn)主義遠(yuǎn)大理想和中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義共同理想的堅(jiān)定信仰者和忠實(shí)實(shí)踐者。加強(qiáng)黨的思想建設(shè)，還要大力弘揚(yáng)馬克思主義學(xué)風(fēng)。中共十八大以來(lái)，中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨開(kāi)展了黨的群眾路線教育實(shí)踐活動(dòng)、“三嚴(yán)三實(shí)”專題教育、“學(xué)黨章黨規(guī)、學(xué)系列講話、做合格黨員”學(xué)習(xí)教育，成為黨的思想建設(shè)的重要實(shí)踐和有力抓手。中共十九大報(bào)告指出，繼續(xù)推進(jìn)“兩學(xué)一做”學(xué)習(xí)教育常態(tài)化制度化，在全黨開(kāi)展“不忘初心、牢記使命”主題教育。
