BRICS Xiamen Summit
The Ninth BRICS Summit was held in Xiamen, China, from September 3 to 5, 2017. The theme was "Stronger Partnership for a Brighter Future." The summit adopted the BRICS Leaders Xiamen Declaration, reiterated the BRICS spirit of openness, inclusiveness and mutually beneficial cooperation, reviewed the experience gained from the past 10 years of BRICS cooperation, and mapped out a new course for strengthening the BRICS partnership and pragmatic cooperation in various fields.
During the summit, the Chinese side hosted the Dialogue of Emerging Market and Developing Countries. Leaders of the BRICS countries and Egypt, Guinea, Mexico, Tajikistan and Thailand exchanged views on cooperation in international development, and agreed to establish extensive partnerships for development, sending out a strong signal of increasing South-South and global cooperation. They unanimously decided to forge a BRICS Plus cooperation model, pursue sustainable development and development that is innovative, coordinated, green, open, and inclusive, and inject more energy to boost world economic growth. They also decided to take the Xiamen Summit as a new starting point, and work together to build a closer, more extensive comprehensive strategic partnership and usher in a second "golden decade" of BRICS cooperation.
金磚國家領導人廈門會晤
2017年9月3日至5日，金磚國家領導人第九次會晤在福建廈門舉行，主題是： 深化金磚伙伴關系，開辟更加光明未來。本次會晤通過了《金磚國家領導人廈門宣 言》，重申了開放包容、合作共贏的金磚精神，全面總結了金磚合作10年來的成功經驗，為加強金磚伙伴關系、深化各領域務實合作規劃了新藍圖。會晤期間，中方舉行了新興市場國家與發展中國家對話會，金磚國家和埃及、墨西哥、泰國、塔吉克斯坦、幾內亞領導人共商國際發展合作大計，一致同意建立廣泛的發展伙伴關系，發出了深化南南合作和全球發展合作的強烈信號。各國領導人一致認為應該打造“金磚+”合作模式，攜手走出一條創新、協調、綠色、開放、共享的可持續發展之路，為促進世界經濟增長、實現各國共同發展注入更多正能量。各國領導人決心以廈門會晤為新起點，共同打造更緊密、更廣泛、更全面的戰略伙伴關系，開創金磚合作第二個“金色十年”。
