Commission for Judicial, Procuratorial and Public Security Affairs Under the Party Committee
According to the Regulations of the CPC on the Judicial, Procuratorial and Public Security Affairs, maintaining law and order is an important part of the work of the Party and the state. It is the statutory function of the judicial, procuratorial and public security bodies under the Party's leadership to perform their duties in enforcing the law, exercising management, and providing services in accordance with the law.
There is one commission in charge of judicial, procuratorial and public security affairs under either the Party's Central Committee or the local Party committees at or above county level. The Party committees lead and manage the judicial, procuratorial and public security affairs through this functional commission. The specialized offices under the Party's leadership include the judicial, procuratorial, public security, national security, and judicial administrative bodies.
The duties of these functional commissions are to steer the political orientation, coordinate the work involving judicial, procuratorial and public security departments, oversee the training of officers, supervise their law-based performance, and create an environment for impartial law enforcement. They also take the lead in abiding by the law and regulations, ensure the implementation of the guidelines, principles, and policies of the Party and the major decisions and plans of the Party's Central Committee, and ensure the correct and unified observation of the Constitution and the law.
黨委政法委
《中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨政法工作條例》指出，政法工作是黨和國(guó)家工作的重要組成部分，是黨領(lǐng)導(dǎo)政法單位依法履行專政職能、管理職能、服務(wù)職能的重要方式和途徑。黨委政法委員會(huì)是黨委領(lǐng)導(dǎo)和管理政法工作的職能部門，是實(shí)現(xiàn)黨對(duì)政法工作領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的重要組織形式。政法單位是黨領(lǐng)導(dǎo)下從事政法工作的專門力量，主要包括審判機(jī)關(guān)、檢察機(jī)關(guān)、公安機(jī)關(guān)、國(guó)家安全機(jī)關(guān)、司法行政機(jī)關(guān)等單位。中央和縣級(jí)以上地方黨委設(shè)置政法委員會(huì)。
黨委政法委員會(huì)應(yīng)當(dāng)把握政治方向、協(xié)調(diào)各方職能、統(tǒng)籌政法工作、建設(shè)政法隊(duì)伍、督促依法履職、創(chuàng)造公正司法環(huán)境，帶頭依法依規(guī)辦事，保證黨的路線方針政策和黨中央重大決策部署貫徹落實(shí)，保證憲法法律正確統(tǒng)一實(shí)施。
