In December 1990, a working conference of the CPC Central Committee on work concerning Taiwan was held in Beijing. During the meeting, it was pointed out that the policy of ?peaceful reunification and one country, two systems? must unswervingly be adhered to and the peaceful reunification of the motherland must be speedily carried out.
