Born in October 1919, native of Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.

Of college schooling, granted honorary doctor's degree of business administration by University of Macao, the then East Asia University of Macao.

Opened business in Hong Kong in 1938; moved to Macao in 1941 to continue his business.

Became chairman of the Macao Chinese Chamber of Commerce in 1948.

Expanded his business operation on the Chinese mainland, contributed to closer economic and trade cooperation between Macao and the mainland, and established a number of enterprises in Guangdong, Sichuan and Inner Mongolia in 1980s and 1990s.
