Vice-premier Wu Meets Guests to Attend IAA

Chinese Vice-Premier Wu Yi met in Beijing Monday with a group of guests who will attend the 39th World Congress of the International Advertising Agency (IAA).

Wu expressed welcome to them and appreciation of their efforts in the sphere of initiating the IAA world congress and promoting the development and exchanges of the world's advertising businesses.

She briefed the guests on China's economic and social progress and the development of advertising sector.

Wu hoped overseas and domestic advertising sectors to learn from each other's creative ideas and management models, strengthen exchanges and cooperation and jointly promote the development and prosperity of the world's advertising industry.

She pointed out that it is of great significance and deep influence for those from overseas and domestic advertising sectors to gather in Beijing and conduct frank exchanges on issues related to the development of advertising industry.

This plays an active and important role in promoting the development of China's advertising industry and exchanges between Chinese and foreign advertising businesses, as well as deepening friendship, seeking cooperation and promoting mutual development, Wu said.

The 39th IAA World Congress is scheduled to be held in Beijing from Sept. 7 to 10.
