Adjust font size:  ZoomIn ZoomOut

Senior Chinese and Sudanese military leaders held talks in Beijing Wednesday, pledging to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two armed forces.

The Chinese armed forces attach importance to developing relations with Sudanese armed forces, Chief of General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Liang Guanglie said.

Liang also introduced China's foreign and national defense policies as well as its military construction to the visiting Chief of Joint Staff of Sudanese armed forces Haj Ahmed El Gaili.

Sudanese government and people will continue to support China's reunification cause, Haj Ahmed El Gaili said.

He said Sudan and China have solid foundation of friendly relations and Sudan appreciates China's support over the years.

Haj Ahmed El Gaili arrived here Sunday for a seven-day official goodwill visit at the invitation of Liang. He is also scheduled to visit Nanjing and Shanghai in east China.
