China, WB to work with on environmental protection
Adjust font size:

Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi voiced her hope that China and the World Bank would further cooperation on energy resources, environmental protection, public health and poverty eradication Tuesday.

Wu made the remarks during a meeting with World Bank President Robert B. Zoellick.

Wu praised the sound cooperation between China and the World Bank, and expressed gratitude for the support of the World Bank to China's reform and social development.

China will continue to cooperate with the World Bank on multilateral aid, Wu said.

She also briefed Zoellick on the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Zoellick said the World Bank would like to strengthen partnership with China, provide fund and share development experience with China to promote global prosperity and poverty eradication.
