Air:

There are two airports close to Huludao City: Jinzhou Airport, 50 kilometers northeast from downtown Huludao and Shanhaiguan Airport in Qinhuangdao City, 90 kilometers west of the city.

Jinzhou Airport is a fourth-degree modern airport which allows various large/medium-size aircrafts to take off and land, where direct flights to Beijing, Shanghai, and Dalian are available.

Shanhaiguan Airport is a major hub for domestic flights, with more flights than Jinzhou Airport.

Railways:

Huludao is an important link in rail networks between Beijing and northern cities such as Shenyang and Harbin.

The newly renovated North Station serves high speed passenger trains that cover the four hundred kilometer distance to Beijing in less than three hours.

Multiple trains to Shenyang, Dezhou, Anshan, Dalian, Beijing and Hangzhou are available at the Huludao Railway Station in downtown district. Direct bus routes of No. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 10, 12, 14, 15 and 16 head for the station.

Highways:

The No. 102 National Road and the Beijing-Shenyang Highway run through Huludao City. The city's bus terminal is its major hub of long-distance transportation, with 126 routes covering most cities of China. The newly-built northern bus terminal offers buses to Xincheng, where there are express buses to Jinzhou, Shanhaiguan and Beijing every day.

Waterways:

Huludao has two wharves for sightseeing:?Juehua Island Wharf and Xingcheng Wharf.

In peak seasons, tour boats sail for Juehua Island each hour and return 4 hour later.

Buses and Taxis

Public transportation in the city is convenient with 25 bus routes and innumerable taxis, covering almost every part of the city.
