Chinese lawmakers and advisers on national affairs have gathered together in Beijing for their annual meetings to discuss topics of local and national concern.

Exactly what they will propose and discuss has attracted public attention.

The Beijing Youth Daily published an article, suggesting the government make public all bills proposed by the delegates.

The author of the article says the delegates attending the two sessions are responsible for the supervision and consultation of governmental work. Meanwhile, their duties should also be available for inspection by the public.

By posting online details of their bills, the public can better know how the delegates have undertaken their responsibilities, the article says.

The author further elaborates that by disclosing their bills to the public, delegates can receive feedback on their suggestions.

The public reaction can tell which kind of problems are concerning them most, thus delegates can better fulfill their duties during these meetings.
