Hu Jintao was reelected as the State President, and the Chairman of the Central Military Commission of China.

Meanwhile, Wu Bangguo was reelected Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 11th NPC and Wen Jiabao was also approved for his second term as Premier of the State Council.

And Xi Jinping, member of the Standing Committee of the Politbureau of the CPC Central Committee, was elected the vice President of China.

The Legislature also adopted the State Council's government reshuffling plan during the session.

The re-organization involves the establishment of "super ministries" and a ministerial energy commission.

Deputies say they have confidence in the new leadership and are looking forward to see more progress.

NPC deputy zhang Xianmin said, "The new leaders are esteemed and have rich experience. The results reflect the will of the people."

NPC deputy Zhao Zhiyong said, "The government reshuffling plan is good. Establishing 'super ministries' will be vital to boosting government efficiency and reducing bureaucratic overlap."

NPC deputy Luo Ping said, "For the new leadership, the most important problem to address is improving the people's livelihoods. "

A new leadership with the same mission. Attaining a moderately prosperous society with an improving livelihood and expanded socialist democracy... remains the goal for the Chinese government. The people are putting their hopes and trust in the new leadership to fulfill the government's responsibilities and bring its people more tangible benefits.
