| The final panel discussion marked the wrapping-up of the forum, and the three stars gave the packed auditorium a treat as they touched on how cross-cultural barriers can be surmounted without language. Among the audience was the Chinese Meryl Streep Fan Club, made up of 20 young people who traveled to the forum from as far afield as Sichuan, Shanghai and even Denmark. Streep's fans were highly visible in their distinctive yellow sweaters bearing Streep's name. "We'd like to show our gratitude and our support to this activity, especially to Streep," said a representative of the club. |
