A 15-year-old vocational school student in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, was expelled for a kiss in class, the South China Morning Post reported.

He was caught by a surveillance camera kissing his girlfriend in a classroom at the Jiangsu Xuzhou Higher Vocational School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering in last November and dismissed for "serious violation of core discipline". His girlfriend was not expelled.

At least three students were expelled last year for love affairs, the report said.

Professor Zhang Houcan from Beijing Normal University's school of psychology said that such harsh punishment of young people could cause lifelong mental damage.

據《南華早報》報道，江蘇徐州一名15歲的職校學生因為在教室內接吻而被開除。

該少年就讀于江蘇徐州機電工程高等職業學校。去年11月，他和女朋友在教室內接吻被監控器拍到。之后，他因為“嚴重違反核心紀律”被開除，女朋友幸免。

據悉，去年一年，該校至少有三名學生因為戀愛被開除。

北京師范大學的張厚粲教授認為，這種嚴厲的懲罰會給年輕人帶來一輩子的精神傷害。
