A 3-year-old British boy on an Easter egg hunt Saturday morning, discovered a live hand grenade, the Daily Mail reported.

The boy was actually standing on the device when an adult, Mr Moffatt, spotted him.

He said: "We were beginning to count the eggs at the end of the hunt and I saw a boy of three standing on an object."

The object was brown, about 4 inches high and looked like an Easter egg, but in fact was a hand grenade.

The grenade, believed to be a Second World War relic, was found in a field next to a busy road. The bomb disposal team carried out a controlled explosion.

男孩找彩蛋踩中手榴彈
