Happy Community, a relocation settlement in Xichou County in southwest China's Yunnan province, Nov. 19, 2020. The authorities have invested 14.74 million yuan into the construction of the community and relevant infrastructure. So far, 153 villagers have moved to the community from hamlets with harsh living conditions. As part of its anti-poverty efforts, Xichou County has helped 3,630 impoverished people move from mountainous regions to resettle in seven new locations with better living conditions, public services, and job opportunities.
