FC Barcelona beat Zaragoza 6-1 in the Camp Nou stadium to move three points clear of Real Madrid at the top of the Spanish Primera Liga table.

Barcelona led 3-0 by half time thanks to two goals from midfielder Seydou Keita and a thumping free kick from striker Zlatan Ibrahimovich.

Ibrahimovich and Leo Messi added further goals and Keita finished off his hat trick in the second half.

Jorge Lopez scored for Zaragoza, but his side had no answer to a Barcelona 11 that looked to be back to its best after a shock midweek Champions League defeat to Rubin Kazan.

Valencia won 3-0 away to Almeria to climb into fourth place.

The side coached by former Almeria coach Unai Emery scored three times in the second half to take all three points.

David Villa headed home after 54 minutes, Pablo Hernandez scored from the halfway line with 16 minutes later and Juan Mata scored from outside the area after 87 minutes to close a convincing win.

Almeria played with just 10 men for 30 minutes after goalkeeper Diego Alves was shown a red card for dangerous play.

The rest of Sunday's matches saw Villarreal finally claim its first win of the season with a 2-1 triumph at home to Malaga. Joan Capdevila scored the winning goal, while Brazilian striker Nilmar opened his account for the club.

Malaga is now bottom with four points, one less than a Xerez side that was beaten 1-0 in Tenerife by Alfaro's 73rd minute goal.

Getafe responded to press criticism with a 2-0 win over an Athletic Bilbao side that ended up with just nine players on the pitch.

Roberto Soldado and Dani Pareja, the latter from the penalty spot, scored Getafe's goals.

Meanwhile Valladolid scored a shock 4-0 win over Deportivo la Coruna.

Deportivo went into the game fourth in the table, but was outplayed by Valladolid, for whom Nauzet scored the home team's first two goals.

Finally Racing Santander snatched a 96th minute equalizer to claim a dramatic late point with a 1-1 draw at home to Osasuna.
