Newly promoted Bologna beat AC Milan 2-1 yesterday to spoil Ronaldinho's debut in the opening round of the Italian Serie A.

Ronaldinho set up Milan's equalizer with a cross headed in by Massimo Ambrosini in the 41st minute, after Marco Di Vaio had put Bologna ahead in the 18th.

Francesco Valiani sealed the win in the 79th at Milan's San Siro Stadium.

AS Roma only managed a 1-1 draw with Napoli which had 10 men for most of the second half.

Lazio went behind 0-1 and then scored four goals in the last 30 minutes to beat 10-man Cagliari 4-1.

Chievo rallied to defeat Reggina 2-1 with a goal in the 88th by Vincenzo Italiano after the teams traded penalty kicks to make it 1-1.

Reggina has never won in 11 encounters between the two teams at Chievo's home stadium in Verona.

Also yesterday, it was: Torino 3, Lecce 0; Catania 1, Genoa 0 and Atalanta 1, Siena 0.

Fiorentina and Juventus were playing later.

On Saturday, Gennaro Delvecchio earned Sampdoria a 1-1 draw to deny new Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho a winning start in Serie A.

Midfielder Delvecchio tucked the ball away for the host in the 68th after Daniele Franceschini headed Marco Padalino's cross into his path.

Earlier, Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave Inter the lead in the 33rd when he brought the ball down with his chest and found the far corner of the net after a one-two with Brazilian midfielder Mancini.

Italy striker Antonio Cassano wasted an excellent chance to put Sampdoria in front three minutes after Delvecchio's equalizer, his ball control letting him down when clean through on goal.

"It's a draw at a difficult ground," Mourinho, a former Chelsea and Porto coach, told Sky television. "I'm not super happy because I'm super happy when I win and play well. But the team didn't play badly and they drew a really difficult match."

Elsewhere, Antonio Di Natale scored twice as Udinese beat Palermo 3-1.
