The new Volkwagen Passat B7 is coming to China. It will be made in China by the FAW-VW joint venture, founded in 1990 between the First Automobile Works (FAW) and Volkswagen Group.

The Passat B7 is available in both sedan and station wagon forms, with a choice of ten diesel and petrol engines ranging from the efficient 1.6-liter TDI with 105HP and a mixed fuel consumption of 4.2 lt/100 km to a 300HP V6 unit combined with all-wheel drive. The latter version can accelerate from zero to 100km/h in 5.5 seconds.

A new long-wheelbase version, 100 mm longer than the European B7, is targeted at the chauffeur-driven market it China.
