Taipei National Palace Museum

Taipei National Palace Museum and the Palace Museum in Beijing Forbidden City, share the same original roots, which was split in two as a result of the Chinese Civil War. The National Palace Museum is an art museum in Taipei, Taiwan. It is one of the largest museums in the world which has a permanent collection of over 677,687 pieces of ancient Chinese artifacts and artworks. The collection encompasses from the Neolithic age to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) in Chinese history. Most of the collections are high quality pieces collected by Chinese ancient emperors.
