President Xi Jinping's trip to Latin America has captured the attention of Mexico's mainstream media. Now CCTV takes a look at the building anticipation for President Xi's visit.

All eyes are on President Xi Jinping. Mexico's highest-selling Spanish daily newspaper "Excelsior" published an article on Chinese President Xi Jinping's scheduled visit to Mexico. It pointed out that the meeting between Xi and his Mexican counterpart will be their second in less than two months, following talks at the Bo'ao Forum in China's Hainan province in April. This is rare in the history of Sino-Mexican relations, but indicates the strength of current ties between China and Mexico.

The director of Excelsior's international news section says he will be paying close attention to the speech President Xi is scheduled to deliver at the Mexican Senate.

Jose Carreno, Director, Excelsior International News, said, "I am looking forward to his speech. We all want to know, what signal President Xi Jinping is sending to Mexico, and the whole of Latin and North America.

Another top Mexican newspaper, "Reforma" has also been reporting on President Xi's upcoming visit. It noted that China and Mexico are both large developing countries, and exporters of manufacturing products. According to the paper, Xi's visit shows the desire of both countries' new leaders to strengthen bilateral ties.

Ulises Dias, Reporter, Reforma Newspaper, said, "It's very important for Mexico to strengthen cooperation with China. Right now, China is Mexico's second largest trading partner, after the US. This visit will definitely inject new energy into the strategic partnership between the two countries.

But manufacturing is just one of the industries China and Mexico have potential to develop. "La Jornada" newspaper reported that in the first quarter of 2013, more than 15 million Chinese tourists visited Mexico, a 41% hike compared with the same period last year. As China is the largest international tourism consumer in Asia, many hope that Xi Jinping's visit will boost tourism in both nations.
