Chinese entrepreneurs are bringing their proposals to the National People's Congress. Let's take a look at what they would like to see in China's future development.

Li Yanhong, chairman and CEO of Baidu, proposes that the government accelerates the legislation on self-driving cars. The tech guru has called on the government to increase financial support for the emerging industry and encourage car makers to work with Internet companies in coordinated innovation.

Ma Huateng, CEO and founder of Tencent, has made proposals on sharing economy. He said it will become a new engine for China's development and help the country shift to a services-led growth model.

Li Xiaolin, chairman of property developer Linda Group, said the housing market in third and fourth-tier cities is in a state of oversupply. De-stocking in these cities should be a priority. He has called on the government to increase policy support for these cities.

Wang Jinghai, chairman of dairy producer WonderSun, said China's diary industry is facing increasing competition from international players in the domestic market.

"What I care about is the revitalization of China's industry and the future development of dairy companies. Industrial companies, especially in the dairy sector, are under huge pressure from international competitors. The cost to produce milk powder in China is twice that abroad. With that as a premise, we have no competitiveness," Wang Jinghai said.

Lei Jun, CEO and founder of Xiaomi, brought two proposals to the National People's Congress. One regarding the Internet in rural areas, the other on the modification of corporate law.

He Yu, chairman of China General Nuclear Power Corporation, said the country will need more nuclear power plants to replace the polluting coal-fueled power plants. He said China's nuclear power accounts for a relatively small part of the county's energy supply.
