China will make positive efforts to enhance the Sino-Lao relations, Chinese Ambassador to Laos Bu Jianguo said on Tuesday in Laos' capital of Vientiane.

Bu gave a lecture at the Lao National Institute for Politics and Administration to mark the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), which falls on July 1.

Bu reviewed the history and background of CPC's founding, and explained how it built a socialist country with Chinese characteristics. She also outlined the CPC's present role, emphasizing the party has attached great importance to diplomatic relations.

While reviewing the relationship between the two countries in the past decades, Bu said she believes China and Laos will continue to remain good neighbors, friends, comrades and partners forever.

To promote the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries, Bu said the two sides should maintain high-level exchange visits, strengthen bilateral ties, coordinate and communicate on issues of international importance, deepen the sharing of experiences in party rules and management regimes, and participate in further party cadre training.

Bu said China is willing to provide more help to Laos on the basis of equality and mutual benefit in various forms of development, including enriching geographical advantages, expanding trade areas and improving cooperation to a new level through promoting strategy cooperation projects.

Bu said the two sides should continue to maintain their long- term friendship from generation to generation, promote comprehensive communication and understanding between the two peoples, and advance the good social atmosphere between the two nations.

The two countries should also respond to external challenges actively, continue to strengthen cooperation, coordinate and support each other on international and regional issues to maintain world peace and development, build new international political and economic orders, and maintain common interests, the Chinese Ambassador said.

Bu said she believes the overall strategic partnership between the two nations is facing new development prospects, giving rise to a lasting friendship.
