DAMASCUS, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes on Wednesday evening, targeting multiple locations across Syria, including the outskirts of the capital Damascus, as well as areas near the Hama and Homs provinces, according to Syrian state media.
SANA, the country's official news agency, reported that Israeli strikes hit the vicinity of the Scientific Research Center building in the Barzeh district of Damascus. Additional strikes reportedly targeted the outskirts of the central city of Hama.
Meanwhile, Syria's al-Ikhbariyah TV reported hearing explosions near the Hama Military Airport, suggesting the facility was directly targeted. Simultaneously, blasts were also reported around the T4 Military Airbase in the eastern countryside of Homs.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or material damage, and Syrian authorities have not issued an official statement on the attacks.
