April 11, 2009 is not a date that Susan Boyle is ever likely to forget. It was the day that the shy, devout 47 year old appeared as a contestant on the third series of Britain's Got Talent. The frumpy-looking Boyle drew sniggers when she walked on stage, saying she dreamed of emulating West End star Elaine Page.
