Research shows that a shock or emotional trauma can trigger the symptoms of a heart attack or other cardiac problems, and women are up to nine times more likely to suffer the 'broken heart syndrome' than men, the Daily Mail reported.

據英國《每日郵報》報道，研究顯示，令人錯愕的事兒或者情感創傷會使人出現心臟病癥狀及其它心臟問題，且女人患上這種“心碎綜合癥”的幾率是男人的九倍。

No one knows why women are more vulnerable but sex hormones may be at play or men's bodies may be better at handling stress.
