| The late King of Pop Michael Jackson has claimed first place on Forbes' Top-Earning Dead Celebrities list this year with US$275 million, more than the combined total of the other 12 celebrities on the list, Reuters reports. Elvis Presley came in second, earning US$60 million from admissions to his former home, Graceland, a Cirque de Soleil show and more than 200 licensing and merchandise deals. "The Lord of the Rings" author J.R.R. Tolkien came in at No. 3 with earnings of US$50 million, while Charles Schulz, the creator of comic strip series "Peanuts," came in fourth with US$33 million. Former Beatle John Lennon was ranked No. 5 with an income of $17 million. |

| China Mobile (Shenyang) Company may start extending limited credit when prepaid phones run out of money, the Liaoning Daily reports. Customers are eligible for a certain amount of credit based on their credit category. The maximum is 2,000 yuan. Currently, mobile phones simply lose service after running out of credit. China Unicom and China Telecom plan to launch similar services in Shenyang but only for their VIP customers. |

The 90-minute film was produced by the North Korean National Film Commission at the proposal of top leader Kim Jong-il. The National Film Commission is now preparing for the first film to be jointly produced by North Korea and China. |
