"Next week Warners are coming to New Zealand to make arrangements to move the production offshore," the statement said. Production of "The Hobbit" was given the green light from Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema on the weekend, with Jackson as director. Shooting is due to begin in February. But Wingnut Films and the union Actors' Equity have been at loggerheads over pay deals for actors in the $500 million two-film prequel to the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. |
