| A new survey of women in 10 Chinese cities shows that the standard of living for urban women is declining, the Beijing Times reports. Urban women are also most anxious about rising prices, not being able to afford a house and low family-income, survey results showed. Almost 70% of women surveyed said the most important thing for happiness was their family's health; 66% said it was harmony within the family. About 36% said they get happiness from their children's progress. Low job satisfaction, fierce workplace competition and lay-offs all contributed to women's work pressure. The survey was carried out in cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The surveyed women had an average age of 35. |
《京華時(shí)報(bào)》消息，一份在中國(guó)10個(gè)城市開(kāi)展的調(diào)查顯示，我國(guó)城市女性生活質(zhì)量呈現(xiàn)下降趨勢(shì)。城市女性最焦慮的事情是物價(jià)上漲、買(mǎi)不起房和家庭收入低。大約70%的受訪女性認(rèn)為最幸福的事是家人健康，約66%的女性則認(rèn)為是家庭和睦，約36%的女性則認(rèn)為孩子有進(jìn)步才是他們最幸福的事。同時(shí)，城市女性對(duì)工作滿(mǎn)意度值不高，職場(chǎng)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)激烈和單位裁員成為女性工作壓力的主要來(lái)源。這份調(diào)查在北京、上海、廣州、深圳等城市展開(kāi)。受訪女性平均年齡為35歲。 |

| China Unicom launched WoStore, its online app store, in Shanghai Wednesday, reports the China Communication Industry Daily. A total of 2,147 applications filed into six categories -- games, tools, entertainment, themes, life and reading -- will be listed at the WoStore. Customers will need to use third-party payment platforms like AliPay or TenPay to make the transaction, unlike other app stores, whose payments are directly deducted from users' mobile phone accounts. |

| The Chongqing government is requiring more than 700,000 college students to participate in a "social practice" for at least four months in an effort to make them more well-rounded, Chongqing Evening News reports. Students may take up a paid internship, plant trees, learn farming or industrial production techniques or participate in military training, among other activities. |

| Jingdong Mall, the online store most famous for low-price appliances, has announced it will enter the book business, reports Securities Daily. Dangdang.com and Amazon.cn, China's two major online bookstores, have expressed concern but are confident that Jingdong won't become a rival soon. In entering into the book business, Jingdong's CEO Liu Qiangdong has revoked his decision in February that his company wouldn't venture into the book-selling industry since prevalent piracy in China has made the business barely profitable. |

| Two large delivery orders placed Monday morning on Nov. 8 to a Pizza Hut and KFC in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, are now under investigation after no one claimed them, Modern Gold Newspaper reports. A KFC restaurant received an order worth 1,700 yuan, while a Pizza Hut restaurant received one worth 3,000 yuan -- both the largest ever for each restaurant. When staff delivered the orders to the designated address at Tianning Building, no one claimed them. |
